This Monday is going to be the third week then I`m teaching. On the first day, I and my colleague Evelina had lessons togerthe,r but we decided that there is no need to work together. We felt quite confident and our mentor said that we were doing good :) So the next day I was working on my own.
Sincerely, I enjoy my practice...It is better that going to university :) of course, it takes some time to prepare, and I feel very tired after the lessons, but on the whole I LIKE IT!
I have 9 and 10- forms students. I was affraid that they could know more than I but.... It`s the second week then I`m working on tenses with my 9 formers...I was a bit asthonished and shocked that they could not differentiate Present Simple from Past Simple even, They are mixing everything. They investigate such tenses as" was went... Have already was gone...etc''. On Thursdays we have grammar classes and pay all attention on tenses because they have difficulty. This week we are going to write the third test from tenses, I hope that they are going to succeed.
If talking about my students, they are very nice teengarers as people. Of course, some of them are indiferent to English classes, some are lazy (only a very small part)...But all of them respect me. If I`m talking seriously ,they sit calmly and listen. They always call me teacher, and say goodbye after the lesson. Also, they say that they like me the way I`m teaching. One day my mentor was away and I was discusing with them. What do they want from me? What they expect? What they don`t like? And they say don`t worry, we like your lessons :) So now I feel much better.
Also, last week I had my first valid lesson and I got 10. I feel that my mentor trusts me. Sometimes she leaves the classroom and I`m working on my own.
If talking about the number of lessons,so I have quite enough.... One week I have 12 lessons, the other 9. Because I and Evelina are sharing one class. One week I`m teaching that class, the other she is...Besides, I and Evelina communicate all the time. If we have gap lesson, we attend one another`s lesson. During that lesson we correct each other`s classes tests. Also, we talk every day and share what we have done with each class. We try to work alike. Also, we are preparing the tests together as well.
What is more, we had olympiadic last week. I and Evelina prepared the task, observed the event and corrected all works. It was olympiadic for nine- formers.
So that`s all for this time. I feel very good at school and wait for Monday to meet my students :)

The end of observation...
Yesterday I finished observing the lessons. The impressions were great. If course, we meet hard-working and willing to learn students, others were not so studious, some of them were very noisy and hyperactive, some very silence...But all in all, my impressions are good and I can`t wait to start teaching them...Yeah...teaching sounds maybe too strong in my case. But I will try to do my best. I will try to help the students learn and understand.
Coming back to the lessons which I observed, I liked one teacher most. She is an English teacher...very young and new at this field. But her lesson was perfect! The atmosphere, her manner of teaching, her sense of humour...EVERYTHING! She was even a better teacher than those who have been teaching for twenty years.(that`s my personal opinion). She let the students laugh, but know where and when to stop. She asked several times if everyone understood, if no, explained the rule once more...In my submission, she is a sample what a good teacher should be like.
The other lessons were by other teachers. The lessons were also fluent and nice.
So that`s the end of observation. On Monday I start teaching...My feelings are mixed.I can`t wait but at the same time have some fears..How the students will react? Will I manage to control the class? Will I manage to explain and convey the information? These are the question that worry me...But I hope I`ll be fine!

3 English classes
Today I observed 3 English classes by different teachers. All the lessons differed. The first was my mentor`s lesson. I like the way she works. Her classes are very well structured leaving no time for students` laughs or chats. The second class was observed by all traineers. Here the teacher communicated more with students asking personal opinions and questions. And the last class...We didn`t arrange our coming with the teacher the day before. So we did it only five minutes before the lesson so she got confused but let us to watch. I and my colleague noticed that she changed the lesson on the spot :)))) I don`t know why but the teachers want to make better impression if they are being observed. Why???? We want to see the real lesson, the way it really is. Then after observing the third class, the teacher made excuses :'this is a very weak class...Level B...'and the like. But anyhow we liked her lesson no matter that students` level is lower...Not long ago I finished the school and still clearly remember that there are and always will be students who are eager to learn, the ones who are not intrested in learning, the ones who try to learn but do not succeed and the like.So there is no need for the teacher to make ecxuses for her class.
I could call the day a good one...except one event. I and my colleague decided to arrange tomorrow`s classes. We thought it would be intresting to observe subject Lithuanian language classes. We went to one teacher and asked if we could observe her lesson the next day. The answer was.... I quote: WHO YOU ARE???WHAT DO YOU WANT?I AM NOT AN ENGLISH TEACHER.WE WONT DO ANYTHING INTRESTING TOMORROW... unquote. Besides, her look was killing.... But finally, she agreed. Sincerely, I don`t want to go to her lesson tomorrow but I have to. Maybe she is going to prepare for it somehow specially and if I won`t come it could be only worse. So I will have to :)
Again, I don`t understand why sheis affraid to accept traineers. We don`t need a show or something like that. We want to see the actual lesson. And her saying' we won`t do anything intresting' suprises me.
But that`s enough about her. All in all, the day was great!Sincerely, I like the school and it`s atmosphere.

First impressions
Today I have started watching the lessons. I was pleasantly suprised...The students were friendly and eager to learn!(except one class) I`ve watched 4 lessons. The English lessons were especially great. I also participated in math lesson, but that one wasn`t very fluent. The students were noisy, but I`m happy that I`m not going to teach that class :)
My mentor is great! Very helpful, friendly, and nice.
The school is also nice (Radvilu gymnasium) and near my home.
P.S.And what I liked most was that students didn`t react to us anyhow....NEGATIVELY. No laughs, no sneers! :) Only friendly lookings :)
