Thursday!!!!

I like Thursdays because it`s the beginning of the weekend since I don`t have lessons on Fridays. Even in the university, in most courses Fridays were free,of course it is called independent work day, but I wonder if anyone comes to library and studies :)

Today,I had two lessons. The first lesson was with my 1B class. It was a grammar lesson. We wrote a test on tenses. All students got positive marks, but only 5 of them were present because many students are ill. But I am not absolutely satisfied with the results....since it is the third time, when we work on tenses and the progress is not very significant. I add my test here. In my opinion, it is a very esay test as for nine formers. Each sentence have clear modifiers which indicate the tense. I make the tests myself and all of them are analogical. I don`t know why my students have difficulty. Not only my students, but Evelina`s students as well. Sometimes they made silly mistakes e.g. forget to add the ending ''s'' with third person/ write past tenses, but the task asks to write present tenses (first 10 sentences)/ sometimes they pick the right tense, but write ''we was'' not ''we were'' etc.

         Use Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect.

1.      She________________(live) in Rome before she moved to Paris.

2.      Tom___________________(have) a meeting yesterday.

3.      I finished my work, walked to the beach, and_________________ (find) a nice place to swim.

4.      You________________ (study) when she called.

5.      I was watching TV while my mother_____________ (cook).

6.      I___________________ (see) a movie yesterday.

7.      We___________(had) that car for ten years before it broke down.

8.      At 8 p.m. yesterday we___________________ (watch) a movie.

      Also, I had a lesson with my 10 form students. Today they made presentations on the environmental problems. On Monday we are going to continue the presentations because many students were absent as well. The presentations were not what I expected but I appreciated their efforts. I add one picture.
